Ashleigh began her studies in 2021 and will finish in May of 2024 where she majors in photomedia and her minor is in communication design. She has done photography since high school, where her VCE photography final was chosen and exhibited at the CEM creative arts exhibition in 2021. She has always had a passion for photography but she really started to find her photography style at university, where she learnt that she loved taking black and white photos of people as she loves preserving the beauty of each of her models, where she also finds it a privilege to tell each of their stories. Ashleigh would love to pursue a career in fine art photography but would also like to branch out into commercial work as well as taking photos on film and developing her own photographs.

Medusa, 2022
For this project, I was heavily inspired by the story of Medusa and wanted to show how she was raped by Poseidon, where I replicated the way he violated her through the use of handprints, which is a key symbol used by sexual assault survivors today.
