Hey I’m Thea! I’m an Industrial designer who isn’t afraid of executing creative ideas within projects. The work that I have aimed to create across my degree eludes to my adaptable skills and passion for not only creative, but technical aspects of design. With a strong sense of visualization, Ive been able to transfer my skills across project briefs and the design process. My passion for Japanese craft, plants, and textural materials has inspired me throughout my degree and am a designer who creates unique and inspiring products with personality and flare.

Pond- Honours Project

Pond is an in-classroom educational learning resource for Primary school children, that integrates horticultural education interactively into sustainable learning. The project aims to develop resources for teachers and parents that encourage kids to explore and discover plants under light and magnification. The product has been inspired by the green tree frog which creates an exciting and larger-than-life experience for children within the social school environment.

Kelp

Designed for Industry Partner AboutSpace Lighting. Kelp is an ambient and mood floor lamp designed for intimate and warm living spaces. The lamp has been designed to use existing globe attachments already in AboutSpace's line. The design has been crafted to suit the brand's identity and also offer customers a unique lamp with a kink of personality in its form.

Mucky Monster

Mucky Monster is a playful children's furniture design that encourages the good habit of picking up dirty laundry. It is a product that encourages good behaviour and habits through play. Mucky Monsters fabric belly expands when kids fill it up with laundry thus creating a transformative and sensorily rich experience through use.

Hanami

Designed for Industry Partner, Country Road Home. Inspired by entertaining in the springtime, and Japanese floral arrangements. The Hanami collection allows Country Road customers to decorate their spaces with seasonal arrangements. The final design focuses on minimal post-processing of a specified white-label product to reduce labour and cost of manufacture

Framed

This beautiful and unique mixer tap is designed to enhance the gallery experience. Framed is designed to suit public creative spaces, allowing artists to have their work showcased in a unique way for gallery visitors. The front profile of the tap is interchangeable, meaning artwork that is displayed in galleries can be attached to the tap for the unique gallery experience- to blur the lines of something that is new and unexpected in the public bathroom.
