Hi, I’m Kelly! I’m an Architecture graduate from Vietnam with a passion for design and a dream of becoming a skilled architectural designer.

As a designer, I pride myself on being diligent, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. I hold myself to high standards, constantly striving to surpass my past work and grow with every project.

My strengths include ideation, diagram-making, post-digital collage visualisations, and, more recently, creating realistic renderings. I enjoy tackling challenges with bold and unconventional design approaches, combining creativity with problem-solving to deliver innovative solutions.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me at the gym, exploring video games, diving into a good book, or attending workshops and events around Melbourne to stay inspired and connected.

Feel free to explore my portfolio—I’d love to share my journey with you. It’s a pleasure to connect!

MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD MEMORIES: THE ESSENCE

A lively museum precinct with multiple industry-themed buildings arranged into zones inspired by the Western suburbs. With a mission to revitalise the heart of Newport, engage on a meaningful level with its inhabitants and draw in visitors from across the city, the playful Museum of Childhood Memories unveils past life experiences of local Melburnians in the industrial backdrop of the Western suburbs. From the steelwork industry, to food processing factories and leather tanneries -- children and families are encouraged to explore the museum town, relive memories of a past world whilst making new memories during their visit.

MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD MEMORIES: THE FIRST WELCOME

The journey into the precinct begins through this area nicknamed the ‘CBD’. As the first area visitors arrive at from the main roads and train station, this is where a variety of communal events like music concerts and performances can take place. A pedestrian bridge connects the museum to the other side of the vast Newport train track, uniting both sides of the suburb. The red steel mesh facade building in the centre serves as both retail and administrative offices, and is a symbol signalling the start of the museum town.

MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD MEMORIES: MEMORIES OF FOOTSCRAY

The heart of the museum lies in the main inner street created by museum buildings arranged along the perimeter of the site footprint. The MOCM is not linear experience: visitors are given the freedom to explore at their own pace and enter museums they find interesting. With the inner street seamlessly integrating into the rest of Newport, the arrangement maximises usage for the public, no matter day or night. Public space furniture is installed for a more comfortable visit, and bridges connect one museum to another for easy access on higher levels and enhances the feeling of exploration.

MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD MEMORIES: MEMORIES OF ALTONA

The museum theme reflects its architecture. The Oil Refinery Museum is a harmony between a real-life oil refinery with steel bracings and platforms and more contemporary, playful addition to make the interior space fit for exhibitions. The exterior’s steel elements merge and transform into a children’s playground on street level.

The museums use affordable and industrial materials aligned with its theme. The design language stays consistent with red bricks used for the ground levels, and translucent ETFE panels for the top half. Mezzanines are used in the interior spaces, allowing visitors to get a preview of the exhibitions across different floors and enhance the spaciousness.
