Hi there! I am Atchara, a registered architect from Thailand, driven by a passion for housing design and master planning that creates adaptable, sustainable spaces. My professional experience includes working on diverse residential projects in Thailand, from low- to high-rise apartment buildings, where I developed a deep understanding of urban living needs and the intricacies of multi-functional spaces. I have also travelled extensively, with visits to cities like China and Singapore, which sparked my curiosity about urban dynamics and the complex ways cities function and evolve.

Seeking to expand my expertise and perspectives, I moved to Australia with the goal of contributing to the international design field. Here, I am deepening my skills and gaining insights that enhance my ability to design environments that foster community, inclusivity, and well-being. I believe that architecture is about more than physical structures; it is about shaping the spaces where people live and interact, enhancing the quality of life and strengthening communities.

Through my work, I strive to integrate cultural insights and innovative design approaches to create thoughtful and sustainable solutions that address both urban and environmental challenges. My aim is to contribute meaningfully to projects that bring people together and respond to the needs of an interconnected world.

CAMBERWELL TogetherNest - 2nd Semester 2024

Living Integration of Elders and Students where students live on-site rent-free in exchange for providing essential services to elders. This project is thoughtfully integrated into its Camberwell site, offering a pedestrian passageway from Camberwell train station to the Sunday market. The building serves as a gateway to the east junction, enhancing connectivity and blending seamlessly with the local environment while promoting accessibility and vibrancy in the community.

CAMBERWELL TogetherNest - 2nd Semester 2024

The form development breaks up a large mass by introducing four distinct towers and a folded geometric roof design, with access to a rooftop garden. The podium is clad in brick, while timber is used for the towers, creating a relaxing, natural aesthetic that softens the overall structure.

Inspirational Collage of Planning Economic Prosperity and Innovation Employing Clustering - 1st Semester 2024

I created a collage using AI-generated images to envision a town focused on economic sustainability and self-resilience. The concept centres on a job precinct as the city's core, with residential accommodations arranged within a 15-minute walking radius. This layout supports a balanced, accessible urban environment, encouraging community engagement and minimizing commute times.

INNO HUB - 2nd Semester 2023

In this project, I collaborated with Ansaya Chuenpradit (Anya) to design an innovative resource and learning facility center in Cremorne. Our studio explored the application of the Commercial 3 zone to our design—a preliminary mixed-use zoning concept. This zoning allows small to medium businesses to integrate with a limited residential area, creating a vibrant community hub. The structure plan promotes education and innovation, aligning well with our program’s focus. The project was especially challenging, as it required close collaboration with neighbouring student projects to create a cohesive design that answers both local policy goals and community needs.

Affordable Housing - 1st Semester 2023

This project addresses the current economic challenge of skyrocketing housing prices by incorporating a prefabricated system to reduce construction costs. Situated in a prime location near Richmond station in Melbourne’s east inner suburb, the design is tailored to meet the needs of diverse, multigenerational households, including single parents, young couples, and extended families. By offering a more affordable, flexible housing solution, the project seeks to create inclusive, sustainable living spaces that can adapt to varying family structures and budgets, making urban living more accessible for people across different stages of life.
