At the heart of my design lies a deep respect for the community, the natural environment, and local culture. This project is more than just a high-rise residential complex; it’s a vibrant space that celebrates openness, freedom, and harmony with its surroundings. By preserving and reinforcing existing brick structures, I honor the site’s history while breathing new life into it. The brick walls offer structural strength and durability, serving as a solid foundation for the modular, stacked design. This approach not only preserves cultural character but also introduces a modern, adaptable living environment.
The upper-level apartments are constructed using wood, with each unit assembled from wooden panels similar to SIP (Structural Insulated Panels). This lightweight, environmentally friendly material is ideal for modular stacking, offering flexibility and ease in assembly. The modular layout allows each unit to interlock and stack in a dynamic arrangement, creating a visually layered experience and providing abundant open and shared spaces. In place of traditional rear balconies, each unit incorporates a central courtyard, which blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living, giving residents a greater sense of openness. This layered design breaks away from the restrictive feel of traditional apartments, offering a lifestyle that feels unconfined and natural.
The layout prioritizes fluid circulation with a diverse network of pathways, including multiple staircases and an elevator system to ensure easy connectivity between spaces. Integrated greenery and amenities enhance the quality of life, bringing natural elements into daily routines and offering residents areas for relaxation and socialization. Waste disposal facilities near each cluster of apartments allow residents to conveniently dispose of trash, with management handling waste centrally. For single-occupancy apartments, shared entertainment spaces compensate for smaller private areas, offering residents places to host gatherings and connect with others comfortably.
My goal is to create a community that feels like home the moment one enters—a place where freedom and connection flourish, where the past is honored, and the future is embraced. This design is not merely architecture; it’s a thoughtfully woven community where people can truly live, grow, and connect. I hope this space not only meets residential needs but also resonates emotionally with residents, making each person feel the warmth of home and the care of a community.
