Taylor Andronaco

My name is Taylor Andronaco, and I’m a designer based in Melbourne, Australia. I’m currently completing my Bachelor of Design at Swinburne University of Technology, co-majoring in Communication Design and Branded Environments. My studies have given me the chance to explore how design can tell stories, shape experiences, and bring people together through thoughtful visuals and spaces alike.

My love for design has always been a part of who I am. It started with my little Italian Nonna, who has always encouraged me to see the beauty in life. Whether this be through colours, textures, or even the smallest details, it can really make something special. She taught me that everything can be made just a little better, a little more beautiful, with care and intention. That belief has become the foundation of my design philosophy and art.

My goal through my years at Swinburne was to create work that felt honest and meaningful. Whether I’m developing brand identities, logos, designing layouts, or thinking about how people move through a space, I want my work to make people feel something. For me, design is about connection, storytelling, and seeing beauty in the everyday.

My passion for cosmetics and fragrances are areas that I feel I can flourish in when it comes to designing either promotional material, or spaces. I feel that if something really interests you then it will never feel like hard work, the passion shines through.

En Pointe

A SPATIAL AND BRANDED ENVIRONMENT THAT REPRESENTS THE CRAFT OF POINTE SHOE MAKING.

Complete with a brand book as well as adjacent collateral, “En pointe” is a walk-through experience that showcases the process of pointe shoe making. Through centre LED screens as well as the transparent box, the process, tools and materials are shown.

Kayali Flagship

A FUTURISTIC FLAGSHIP STORE THAT FOCUSES ON
INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY.

The future of perfume shopping is changed forever thanks to
high tech carefully crafted for Kayali specifically. User experience
such as “Scent Pods”, "Scent of a Memory" screens and
holographic brand creators are included in the space.

Metro Tunnel Installation

AN INSTALLATION THAT UTILISES LARGE DIGITAL SCREENS

The installation itself is made up of large digital screens that are able to display artefacts digitally, found in the process of digging and building in the tunnels.

Neighbourhood Post

A WALL INSTALLATION FOCUSING ON RECYCLING IN RURAL AREAS

Whilst reimagining the local post office to reflect Australia Post’s commitment to sustainability, the hyprid-flagship addresses environmental, social, and economic goals. The design aims to enhance Australia Post’s retail and delivery functions while revitalising its civic presence and fostering a strong community connection.

We recognize that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ cultural contributions have continued relevance to design practice and commit to: reconciling ancestries of design and contemporary practice as well as pursuing culturally and professionally appropriate ways to engage with a diverse population of colleagues, industries and clients. In a time of treaty-making and voice we understand that there are overlaps between caring for Country and the sustainable production of goods, services, experiences, products and buildings.

Guided by the principles of respect, reconciliation, and reciprocity we undertake to indigenising and decolonising design practice by dismantling colonial structures and challenging biases that have marginalised Indigenous voices and design.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
