Through my interior architecture course at Swinburne, I have developed a strong passion for creative concept development and detailed visual communication. My designs come from my joy of developing concepts for people to enjoy and thrive in, with a focus on spaces that brings people and communities together. I enjoy exploring innovative design solutions and bringing ideas to life through skilled hand-drawing and digital drafting. My work focuses on thoughtful spatial planning, cohesive aesthetics, and expressive visuals that clearly communicate the story behind each design. This folio highlights my creative process, technical abilities, and the designs I’m most proud of.

Elevate

Elevate is a dynamic recreation and community centre located in Cheltenham, south-east Melbourne. Designed as a multipurpose facility. The centre aims to foster a strong sense of community by offering a versatile space for all. Elevate serves as a vital hub for enhancing social connections within the Bayside local council and the broader Cheltenham community.

Museum of the Handmade

Museum of the handmade is focusing on thoughtful furniture and texture choices while keeping a thoughtful layout simulating a boat like figure, connected to the site, also with the natural light and shade in the space through the clay facade.

'WELL' Designed Workplace

A workplace within a busy shopping street requires a separation of environment between the outside and inside. Through the “Well” values of Light, movement, water, nourishment, air, thermal, comfort, community, mind, materials and sound.

Modular Student Village

This modular student village located conveniently only 2min walk from the Swinburne Hawthorn campus embodies the spirit of students community and living needs. With large lounge and rooftop areas allows for community and joins everyone together to enjoy each others company while having the ideal livable space.

Acknowledgement of Country

The School of Design and Architecture respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners and knowledge-keepers of the lands, waters and sky that surround us, where we work, learn, create, communicate and make place. We recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded and this always was and will always be Wurundjeri Country. We are dedicated to the notion of design to make a better world and we acknowledge that making tools, shaping place, sharing stories, making meaning, wayfinding and collaborating have long been and continue to be both central and integral to First Peoples' cultures. We recognize that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ cultural contributions have continued relevance to design practice and commit to: reconciling ancestries of design and contemporary practice as well as pursuing culturally and professionally appropriate ways to engage with a diverse population of colleagues, industries and clients. In a time of treaty-making and voice we understand that there are overlaps between caring for Country and the sustainable production of goods, services, experiences, products and buildings.

Guided by the principles of respect, reconciliation, and reciprocity we undertake to indigenising and decolonising design practice by dismantling colonial structures and challenging biases that have marginalised Indigenous voices and design.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
