Rimma Vaksman

Hi, My name is Rimma Vaksman I'm a graphic designer who works with businesses, organisations and brands to create meaningful and fun branding and visual identities that brings people together through clear and impactful designs. I believe that design can really shine on the persons personality with creativity and can have fun with what you can come with. With this belief, I have developed branding and visual identities for automobile brands and video gaming developers to create fun and exciting designs.

I am a trained designer and have experience in branding, digital marketing and a wide range of visual communication. Outside of work you can see me be intrigued by everyone moments and will capture them through photography. Some people would consider me a bit of nerd when they see me solving a rubik's cube and sitting at a TV playing video games.

I hold a Certificate III, Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design from Chishom TAFE and Swinburne University of Technology and a Bachelor's of Communication Design from Swinburne University of Technology.

Power On The History

This is my major project for my capstone where I designed a history booklet for Xbox. The concept is playing through the game of history in a timeline and you are following a story. The design sticks to Xbox brand guidelines with black and white and photography.

The Stories The Land Holds

The Royal Botanic Gardens needed a new annual report to share their success and objective to people and get them more interested in plants and the environment. The stories the land holds is conceptualised in the indigenous culture and to respect the culture. The design was inspired by Indigenous art and design to stick to the approach.

Carstruction Packs

Carstruction is a brand that creates assembly model packs, this project shows three different car model packs you can assemble. The design is playful and futuristic with the shards looking like a puzzle that conbines.

Baking Cravings

This project presents how I can approach the way lighting is positioned on the subject when creating a cover of a magazine. The concept shows a rich, irresistable and dramatic look to promote cookies.

Sun Tea Magazine Cover

This project showcases a packaging product for a tea making brand name Sun Tea. This relaxing packaging is to promote their different flavoured tea on a magazine. The concept is to give a calm and inspirational when waking up in the morning.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
