Hi! I’m Olivia. I’m currently in my final semester studying Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) at Swinburne University of Technology.
I love bringing a creative approach to practical and theoretical problems to develop products and concepts that have a real-world application and are ready for manufacture. I have experience in the sheet metal fabrication industry and have worked on a range of projects from sculptural pieces through to industrial equipment. Essentially, I am excited and passionate about pulling things apart and putting them back together.
Outside of university, I’m involved in a number of sports teams and fill my spare time keeping my hands busy, typically involving creating and experimenting.
My Capstone project, INFUSi, was inspired by a personal experience. Healthcare at home is rapidly growing due to increased prevalence of chronic illness worldwide. Receiving treatment at home is cost effective, reduces the risk of hospital acquired infections and typically provides a more relaxing experience for a patient and their support network. The final product is a mobile unit and workspace aimed towards improving the experience of transporting and delivering infusion therapy at home.
