Noor Khan is finishing up her Product Design Engineering Degree at Swinburne University. Over the past few years, she has been working as a junior engineer in the rail industry with experience in testing, systems engineering and configuration management. The focus of her university projects ranges from medical device design, UI/UX, social responsibility and sustainability. There is a strong focus on user centred design through out her portfolio.

IMRS is a multi-sensory anxiety management system comprising of an immersive headset and haptic controller. The ultra thin headset with cutting edge holographic optics uses active distraction to eliminate the fear pathway in needle phobic individuals. It provides a novel user interface for device management, patient engagement and procedure tracking. The distraction is amplified through the addition of another cognitive load via the haptic controller.
