Hi, I’m Euan Orford.

I am a graduating Product Design Engineer from Swinburne University. My time at Swinburne and within Industry has been spent gaining knowledge and experience to become a prominent and professional product designer. Through my degree and a personal mechanical background, I have become proficient in skills such as injection moulding, 3D modelling, rapid prototyping and design for manufacture. I have been able to hone my skills through software such as Ansys, Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and many more platforms allowing for solutions to be rapidly and effectively developed. Industry partners which have been included along my journey include Engineers without borders (EWB), Tikkun Olam Makers (TOM), Nexans Olex, Air Services Australia and many more, providing a well-rounded and professional approach to product design engineering.

My final year research project ClearView represents a new generation of illuminating road studs that respond in real-time to provide dynamic visual feedback to road users and help them respond and adapt their driving to the prevailing conditions. Whether fluctuating road congestion, poor weather or night-time conditions, ClearView provides corresponding feedback to help drivers anticipate the conditions ahead and create a safer driving environment for all users.
