Mamoru Tanida

Hi! Thanks for popping by, I’m Mo.

I’m on the home stretch of my studies at Swinny, double majoring in Product Design Engineering and International Business. It has been a rigorous and challenging course, but highly enjoyable. Its allowed me to work on projects I am passionate about to research, develop and innovate.

In 2021 I was fortunate enough to intern at one of Melbourne’s premier design consultancies, Cobalt Design. Here I gained significant industry experience in product development from concept to manufacture across a broad range of industries such as household fixtures, medical devices, cleaning, and sanitation systems. I was also super lucky to have had the opportunity to study overseas in Switzerland, where I was exposed to the operations of international brands and niche industries both in terms of product development, but also business management.

I enjoy collaborating with others and appreciate the camaraderie and learning opportunities teamwork provides. At university, I have successfully contributed to assessment project teams with infectious passion and worked conscientiously with others on extracurricular activities, such as the Swinburne Formula SAE Team.

In my free time, I enjoy cycling almost as much as I do tinkering with bikes, hiking and photography.
