Cities are growing faster than ever, with over fifty per cent of the world’s population now living in them. Swinburne’s Joint Master of Architecture and Urban Design, the first in Australia, builds upon expanding areas of study involving the design and management of urban form and the public realm as well as architecture’s role in contributing to urban experience. Architecture and urban design offers the skills and knowledge to respond to the challenges of mass urbanisation for environmental sustainability, human flourishing and the wellbeing of all.
Swinburne's Master degree of Architecture and Urban Design is giving me the skills to design with confidence across multiple scales. What I do enjoy the most is that creativity has no limits here since our tutors always encourage us to explore, investigate and undertake every project by integrating our own design thinking, expertise and learnings to response to industry's current local and global issues.
