My name is Jacqueline "Jacqui" Keogh and I have just completed my final year of the Bachelor of Design (Architecture) course at Swinburne University. I have been interested in Architecture since I was in Primary School and studied Interior Decoration & Design at Box Hill Institute before having to leave the course early to grab a ‘temporary’ full time job. The job was in a Bank and after 11 years there, working my way up to an operations consultant role that required participation in many exciting projects, I decided it was time to hang up my banking boots and pursue my passion.
I am a designer for the living. My designs are centred around people and life – I like to create spaces that work on a functional level but also on an emotional level; spaces that leave you wondering or put your mind at ease; places that you can explore and constantly discover hidden delights. I am also fascinated by light and colour and would love to learn more about how light and colour effects your experience of a space.
On a personal note, I am a proud homeowner in the Yarra Valley where I live with my husband: Chris & border collie: Millie. I love to renovate and get on the tools as much as possible, it has been very empowering doing the work myself and I have found that it has given me valuable construction knowledge.
