Hello, my name is Gabrielle Versace, and I am a graduate of the Swinburne Communication Design (honours) degree under a Vice Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship. While at university, I undertook freelance work, a junior design role at Juggler, and an internship at Traffic Brand Agency.
My industry experience thus far has helped me accumulate excellent interpersonal skills. My coworkers have described me as amicable, confident, professional, and a natural at cultivating client relationships. This led to my interest in leadership, eventuating into my role as the Vice President of Swinburne Design Collective in 2021.
I am a disciplined, punctual and organised creative with a fascination for human-centred design. In my career, I seek further knowledge and skills in campaign work, brand strategy, UX and design research. Design has always been about connection and communication for me, so cultivating a multidisciplinary career where I can effect real-world change is my long-term goal. Design for social impact is my biggest aspiration, so I hope to work within design activism in the gender equality space in my future endeavours.
My work at Swinburne leans into strategy and campaign output to further develop my conceptual skillset and various technical practices such as animation and social media marketing. I have worked across print and digital mediums and enjoy crafting projects that enable diverse creative output.
When I'm not designing, I can be found brunching my way around Melbourne, cuddling my cats and spending time with my huge Italian family.
