Maddy Merzvinskis is a Communication Design Honours graduate whose creative process is characterised by deep thinking, a focus on storytelling and constant learning. During her degree she completed an internship program in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. There she worked with the in-house creative team at the famous cultural gift store, Dagadu Djokdja – a valuable experience in cross-cultural collaboration and tackling challenges in an unfamiliar professional environment. Maddy also undertook a year-long Industry Placement, and is currently working as a Designer at Clemenger BBDO. During her time at Swinburne she has been awarded the Withers and McCann Design Prize for design excellence, has been a Peer Mentor to a design student earlier in their degree, and this year was on the GradX committee to bring the exhibition to life in a virtual setting. Outside of design, Maddy volunteers with Youthrive Victoria to support young people in her hometown of Ballarat and other regional and rural areas across the state.
