Shu Shu

Hi, this is Shu Shu. I am a communication design student. I have been fond of drawing since I was a child, and have cultivated and learned a lot of art-related things. I like to record and draw everything that I think is beautiful, and I always have my own ideas and strong style in design.

It was difficult to get to know Adobe software at the beginning, but in the second year of undergraduate study, I gradually got comfortable with it. Now for me, the feeling of creating something new is unknown and wonderful. When I look back on those works, I am passionate and can see my progress every year.

I like photography and music, they often bring me different surprises and feelings, like designing a thing, like the flavor of my life, every frame is like an eternity. I think I will be engaged in design or art-related work in the future, looking forward to the challenge in the future.

Tattoo Festival

This is a tattoo festival guide publication, one with my strong style. To express how I personally locate a meaning of tattoo and design the butterfly pattern expression of freedom and depth.

Don’t over speed

This is a poster about speeding. The two numbers on the speedometer indicate the number of people killed by speeding, and to the right of the heading is the International speeding trademark. The aim is to appeal to people not to speed, respect the law and cherish life.

Walter Van Birendonck

Rebranding Walter Van Birendonck, conveys a unique style and design philosophy, establishing a more diversified brand image. The results of the visual image are presented through brand identity, packaging design and illustration, presenting a dynamic and grotesque design style.

“Growing”

This is a streamlined wire handwork that expresses the process of growing a branch. A circle is used as the germination of the root, and the meticulous streamline design in the middle represents the growth of the branches and then climbs upward, taking into account the overall coordination and symmetry, creating a three-dimensional effect.

Portrait

Based on the character of the model, the venue chose the street. This photo has no fixed frame and steps, capturing his casual natural moments as well as the mood of the model.

Guided by the principles of respect, reconciliation, and reciprocity we undertake to indigenising and decolonising design practice by dismantling colonial structures and challenging biases that have marginalised Indigenous voices and design.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
