Sawasdee ka!

I’m Bussakorn Nangsue, but my friends usually call me Woonsen. I’m an amateur content creator and soon-to-be graduate with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Communication Design.

I was born and raised in Thailand, surrounded by delicious food, art, and beautiful cultures. I can’t remember when I first fell in love with design, but my family and friends have always supported and encouraged me to pursue my passion. My parents gave me the opportunity to come to Melbourne to take on new challenges and deepen my understanding of art and design.

During my time at Swinburne, I’ve experimented with various aspects of design and discovered my enjoyment in illustration, photography, and creating social media content. As a designer, I’m constantly learning, challenging myself, and striving to grow into a designer who creates meaningful work that can inspire and help others.

Phrip Phri's Branding Identity

Phrip Phri is a Thai restaurant that began in South Korea and is now bringing its flavours to Melbourne. Known for its signature Thai basil stir-fry dishes and authentic Phetchaburi cuisine, the restaurant aims to connect with a diverse Melbourne community.

This project will focus on building a brand identity that resonates with locals, creating a branding style guide, packaging stickers, labels, and engaging social media content. The design will draw inspiration from the rich history and culture of Phetchaburi, blending traditional influences with a modern look that feels fresh and relatable to Melbourne’s audience.

Nowstalgia Portrait

"Nowstalgia" is a set of portraits that captures the essence of a modern, K-pop-inspired twist with a Y2K trend. The aim was to create a vibrant portrait series, blending playful accessories and props with confident, joyful energy. This was an opportunity to explore the recent trending style and experiment with new techniques learned along the way.

Pastry Magazine

The Pastry Magazine is a project that focused on creating a magazine cover and social media post for a pastry magazine, featuring a rose apple tart in a clean, elegant, homey style. By being careful, attention was given to lighting, composition, typography, and colour to ensure the design stood out and appealed to the target audience. The project also provided experience in ideation and direction, leading to capturing the best possible shot based on a well-planned concept.

Head in the Clouds

Head in the Clouds is a mixed-media animation of an axolotl character wandering in the sky, showing enjoyment without worrying about anything. The character design focuses on expressive facial features that capture a naughty yet delightful personality, perfectly complemented by the catchy soundtrack, “I’ll See You Again” by Suteki.

Temporal Reflection

Temporal Reflection concept publication inspired by the topic "On being affected: feeling in the folding of multiple catastrophes." The concept aims to emphasize flashbacks to past events and the struggle to move forward in a rapidly changing world. The design reflects how fear of change mirrored in both the past and present. keeping people in their comfort zones. By focusing on three major disruptions—climate change, social change, and a media revolution—it conveys the emotional instability that many have faced today. The inconsistent text and related images highlight the impact of change.
