My name is Edward Addison - and I'm a User Experience (UX) and Motion Designer. I aim to create unique digital experiences that excite, stimulate, and innovate. I have experience in 3D and 2D software, as well as software for digital prototyping: including Figma, Axure RP, and Adobe XD. I have extensively used many pieces of software from the Adobe suite, including Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator.

When creating a digital experience, be it a UX prototype or motion design animation, I aim to consider the effect on the end user. What purpose does the prototype serve? What emotion is the animation intended to stir? This empathetic approach leads to unique, user-(and audience)-centric solutions.

My knowledge in both UX and Motion Design is a unique strength, as there is a surprising amount of overlap between these two fields.

Polished animations can bring out the best in a high-fidelity UX prototype. Conversely, understanding the perspective and emotions behind a user’s decisions can aid in the creation of high-quality and meaningful motion design animations.

The crossover of these two fields can best be viewed in my UX project, Ghost Guide Victoria, which can be viewed on my portfolio.

I have thoroughly enjoyed developing my skills throughout my tenure as a student at Swinburne. Now I’m looking forward to seeking the next stage of my professional career elsewhere. I’m extremely excited to see where I can take my skills in the next few years – no matter which field.
