Zac Hoiles

My name is Zac and I am from the Yarra Valley in Victoria and always been passionate about Japanese cars, travelling, and good design. My interest in architecture comes from the way buildings combine critical thinking, problem-solving and a personal creativity to shape beautiful spaces. I’m eager to keep developing my skills and grow into a strong project manager in the industry; and hopefully, let my work and skills take me all around the world. Feel free to reach out to me through any of my socials!

Studio 05 - Motion//Newport

My final semester studio project that depicts the Museum of Australian Automotive and Locomotive Progression. The project features a large scale design that provides a hub for the community of Newport and wider to host events as an icon for Victoria's car and train following.

Studio 04 - The Estuary Connect

My favorite project, The Estuary Connect. A waterfront project 'the riverside community network' was a residential-mixed use building that featured a dynamic and responsive facade and a shared living network while responding to its Birrarung adjacency in form and functions.

Studio 03 - Ngarra-Warra Centre Construction Diagram

My second year final project was stemmed from an introduction to parametric and tectonic design. My final construction system diagram depicts our critical thinking in responding to difficult systems, structures and their connections on a smaller scale museum project.

Studio 03 - Ngarra-Warra Centre Physical Models

The Ngarra-Warra Centre was an office, gallery and museum for the local indigenous community of Warrandyte Victoria. Its parametric design urged occupants to look around the native area and pay their respects to the rich history of our own backyards.

BIM - Facade Redesign for the AMDC

In my final semester I lead my BIM group in the external or facade design for the AMDC. Above is an exploded axonometric depicting the buildup of the facade modules and how they extend the existing space and program of the existing floors while maintaining the iconic current facade design.
