Hi, my name is CeeCee Nguyen and I hold a Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) from Swinburne University.

I am a junior graphic designer and emerging illustrator who eagle to work with publishers, game studios, and creative clients to create narrative-driven illustrations and thoughtful visual communication. I believe design is a form of storytelling shaped by imagination, individual perspective, and different cultural communities.

I have freelanced as an illustrator for years and has created projects across illustrations, book concepts, campaigns, album covers and visual storytelling. I have been building a portfolio focusing on illustrating fictional works as well as communication design products. Nevertheless, I am a trained illustrator/designer with strong drawing, research, and concept-development skills.

In my private life, I am an introvert nerd who loves diving into fictional worlds in my free time. As an avid gamer and novel reader, I enjoy analyzing storylines, writing my own stories, and then bring them into real life through illustrations. I personally define myself as the type of person who like listening to people stories and experiencing from different perspectives in life which helps me grow my ideas in both writing and drawing.

Invisible Disability Campaign " Super Heroes"

This is a fictional campaign created for the Design Strategy course through engaging comic sequences. The campaign aimed at promoting and raising awareness about a specific community challenge, which is Invisible Disability.

The White Bride and the Black ones of the Grimms remembrance set

Final outcome set of deliverables for Design for Production course. The highlight of this project is the set of well-designed products in both visual and functionality including the cover, the enclosure, and card holders.

Guided by the principles of respect, reconciliation, and reciprocity we undertake to indigenising and decolonising design practice by dismantling colonial structures and challenging biases that have marginalised Indigenous voices and design.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
