I am Emma Jonsson, a Swedish design student about to graduate from a Bachelor of Design, Branded Environments.

I want to design with meaning and purpose and leave a positive impact on clients, viewers, and audience.

I believe that design should be exciting, engaging, and inspiring, but it should also be mindful, sustainable, and have a deeper meaning.

I am very interested in temporary designs and activations, and how to create designs with long-lasting impressions, that people will remember long after they have been moved or taken down.

I have a background in event management where I have worked on the front end with planning and running small to large scale events and festivals. I would like to position myself within experiential designs, events, and activations and work on the creative side of the experience.

In my final assignment, I chose to focus on design in relation to mental health, and research how design impacts our health, wellbeing, and mood, through shapes, colours, and light.

I created sensory exhibitions and activations as a sub-brand for RUOK, to function as the supporting network that is currently missing.

This is a great example of a design that is helpful as well as meaningful to a large target audience, and that is created to make a difference.
