Hi, my name is Amy Collins.
I am currently in my final year of the Bachelor of Design (Architecture) at Swinburne University of Technology.
As a graduate of the Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) at Swinburne in 2020, I’ve developed a strong foundational knowledge in construction technologies, building legislations and Australian Standards, which has further aided my design development within Architecture.
Whilst studying, I had the opportunity to work for an Architecture firm and am currently working for a landscape desgin firm. During this time I have gained experience in schematic design, working drawings, liaising with clients, and working alongside industry professionals.
Throughout my architecture journey, I’ve acquired strong skills in Adobe Suite, Auto CAD, Revit and Rhino. I’ve enjoyed collaborating on various design projects as part of a team and gained the skills to convey ideas in creative and abstract ways.
With a passion for designing harmonious spaces between the built form and environment. I aim to design spaces that are sustainable and provide designs that give back to the user and the community. An influence of mine is this quote by Frank Lloyd Wright.
“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.”
