About me:
My name is Remy Brown. I am 23 years old and am currently living in the Eastern suburbs.
Experience:
I have worked at Bibendum Wine Co. in Abbotsford as a warehouse assistant for 5 years. During my study break I have completed overseas internships at Chateau De Briante in Burgundy, working in the vineyard and winery. I also spent time working at a Brewery in Beaune, doing deliveries around town and learning about the beer making process. I have worked casually at Scorpo Vitners and Garagiste, helping out on the bottling line over the summer months.
Current occupation:
I am currently studying full time undertaking a Bachelor of Architecture at Swinburne in my final year.
Current job:
Outside of my studies I am working casually in the position of Student of Architecture at Cox Architecture in Flinders Ln, Melbourne. At this firm, I am working in the commercial team undertaking various tasks such as model making, documentation and design study tasks alongside interior designers, project architects and associates.
Personal achievements:
I was shortlisted to present to the Blackburn Vikings Basketball Club for our proposal for the redevelopment of their basketball stadium in our second-year design project based on inclusive architecture. I have my construction white card and have previously completed the Advanced Diploma of Building Design at RMIT in 2020.
Values:
I value creating positive relationships by using my strong communication skills, which help me collaborate with other people effectively and efficiently. Being polite and considering others’ perspectives and understanding their strengths and weaknesses.
Personal interests:
In my spare time I enjoy traveling. I have a strong interest in Melbourne’s food culture and on weekends I often play tennis and basketball. I also love spending time up at my family vineyard in the Macedon Ranges, helping out with the wine-making process.
