Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m a fourth-year Communication Design (Honours) student. I make innovative, unique, and compelling work that pays attention to detail and connects with the target audience. I’m open–minded, a visual thinker, and a critical thinker. I have been creative for my entire life, but I first became interested in design during my studio art class in high school and through attending top arts at the NGV. Throughout high school, I was interested in mixed media and collaging to create dynamic compositions. Fast forward to now, I’m influenced by New Wave graphic designers such as Dan Friedman, Willi Kunz, and Werner Jerker. I’m capable of successfully producing a wide range of visual styles and am always interested in learning new techniques and skills to express creative concepts and ideas. This year I have worked in a range of different design mediums through university and my industry placement including packaging design, publication design, textile design, web design, Exhibition design, photography, digital design, and UX design. My goal for the future is to grow as a designer who specialises in multiple fields and is equipped for any brief. During my creative process, I like to document my creative ideation with a pen and paper whilst I’m analysing the brief. Doing this before conducting any external research ensures that my designs are unique and don’t take too much influence from pre-existing work. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or enquiries.
