Hi, I’m Jordan. I’m a communication designer with a passion for helping people bring their creative visions to life. I love working with other creatives to come up with innovative solutions to challenges big and small. Always looking to expand my skillset, I thrive when immersed in challenges that push me to grow. My keen time management, attention to detail and communication skills make me a reliable independent worker.

I have a particular love for typography and am continually fascinated by the ways it communicates with those who interact with it. I remain drawn to the design discipline because of its balance of structure and expression, and seek to continue to explore this interplay in my future work.

Extinguished: Visual essay exploring creative burnout

‘Extinguished’ is an interactive webpage that visualises the creative burnout phenomenon. Exploring the state of the creative industries today, the webpage pairs expressive typography with micro animation to further explore the topic. Designed as a long-scroll page to reflect the creative industries’ orientation towards digital media, the design echoes the experience of moving from creatively driven to creatively burnt out.

Hiding in Plain Sight: Monothematic publication

This A4 publication uses text from an essay that explores the roles of secrecy and deception in today’s society. A range of creative devices were used throughout to visualise the subject matter, with some of content being obscured using redaction lines, glass effects and torn paper. Portraits draw a link between the textual content and the effect of lies on people in this culture.

ISTD 2023: A Room of One's Own

In response to this year's ISTD brief 'Open | Close', I developed a special edition of Virginia Woolf's 1929 'A Room of One's Own'. The design reflects Woolf's stream-of-consciousness style exploration of the position of women in literature. The physicality of the artefact is a nod to the deprivation women have been subjected to throughout history and is a manifestation of their efforts to scrape together what they can.

Re:act: Does your car have your back?

The brief for this project was to encourage 18-25 year olds to make car safety features a priority
when looking at purchasing a car and to buy the safest car they could afford, as soon as possible.
The campaign was centred around engaging young drivers and crafting a memorable message
that people would remember when it came time to buy their next car.
