Apollo 13 Illustration and Exhibition Design

This brief revolved around the Apollo 13 story. It required the use of design to represent the themes and plot of the story.

This project had three parts. The first stage involved research and the composition of a written interpretation of the story. This written piece was used in the second and third stages.
The second stage of the brief was to create a series of six images that visually represented the stories themes and key elements. The brief stipulated that there should be two portraits, landscapes and still lives in the set of six.

The third stage was to create the beginnings of an exhibition design, using the copy written in stage one and the images created in stage two. There were three main deliverables, a publication of the written content, 3D illustration of the exhibition entry and build out of memorabilia and advertising for the event.

Cara Cara Juice

This brief was to develop a health and wellness drink targeted at 18-30 year old Australians. The beverage was a fruit juice of the Cara Cara Orange. This drinks health benefit is the amount of Vitamin C it includes. The brands visuals are bright fun and playful.

This was a new brand and hence needed to be introduced in a way that encourages consumers to try and become loyal to the beverage. To do this the brand will offer tastings, cafe partnerships and promotional events. The design of these uses the branding elements. The visual design is centred around the circle motif and using the orange inside and outside graphic elements. It also makes use of an exaggerated interpretation of the fruits unusual colour. The brands tone is casual and friendly to welcome consumers into the Cara Cara World.

Food Victoria Heroes

The brief for this project was to create a social action campaign that positively influences behaviour change. The brief required the development of an original concept, campaign strategy, logo design, brand identity and campaign roll out strategy which was to be presented in an extensive campaign proposal document.

The chosen theme was healthy eating with a focus on seasonal eating. This campaign has a dual audience, it is aimed at children, but ultimately has to appeal to their adult parents as well.
The campaign is titled Food Victoria and had a sub-brand. The sub-brand Food Victoria Heroes follows a series of characters as a means to explain the concept to children. This aspect of the campaign was launched at the Royal Melbourne show in Victoria. The Characters are superheroes that are based on healthy foods and use there health benefits as powers.

Dose It Check Out ? Campaign

This group project required our team to create a campaign to educate on vehicle safety and encourage them to actively research and purchase safer cars. The audience is 18-25 year old drivers who tend to drive older and more unsafe cars which when paired with their lack of experience contribute to the large overr epresentation of young people in road statistics. The project required the group to conceptualise a campaign that appealed to the audience and address the issue in a positive light and influenced behaviour change.

Through primary and secondary research we created the campaign Does it check out. Throughout the brief we presented twice and consulted with the Client Re:act to refine the campaign.

The brief required the creation of billboards and poster designs that matched a set of Ohh Media specifications as well as a curated build out of advertising and promotional locations.
In this group project I was responsible for, concept development, research visualisation, imagery creation in photoshop, Original Mockup Photos (and their subsequent editing) and proposal documentation development.

Sunday Afternoon & Co

This brief was for the brand Sunday Afternoon & Company who are a Melbourne based home wares and fashion brand that produces and sells a range of goods inspired by the Australian environment. The client needed a logo and brand identity that reflected the company. It needed to be simple, but versitile, so it could be used on a variety of brand collateral, including packaging, tote bags, a website ect.
The brand needed a sales brochure formed of product photographs and copy. The brief stipulated that the product photography needed to feature, a woven basket, from the latest collection ‘Textures of the Sun’. The series of photographs needed to showcase the products materials, size and uses of the basket.
