Industrial Design

I am an industrial design graduate who loves to create functional products that enhance people’s lives. I have a deep fascination for manufacturing processes like 3D printing, injection moulding, and CNC machining, and how they can be utilised to produce amazing products. I also have an interest in communication design to visually create a clear and appealing message to the users. I use various software tools, such as Solidworks, Fusion 360, Keyshot, Adobe Suite and Sketchbook to design and prototype my work. I firmly believe in the importance of continuous growth, always seeking out new skills and techniques to enhance my craft and stay ahead of industry trends.

OLO - FLORAL ELEGANCE

Olo is an elegant floor lamp, a perfect blend of style and illumination. This lamp is designed with versatility in mind, allowing you to customise it to your liking on purchase.

With a 3 or 4-tier system, the lamp’s height can be selected to suit any setting, be it your living room or bedroom.

The client requested a design that maximised the use of their lighting threads, globes, and shades. The objective was to develop a housing with dimensions not exceeding 1500mm x 280mm, while perfectly complementing their unique design style. Additionally, the design needed to be easily manufacturable and possess a distinctive appeal.

LIT - MINIMALIST SOLAR CAMPING TORCH

LIT is a camping companion for young adults who love camping and outdoor adventures.

LIT has a bright LED light that can illuminate your surroundings and create a cozy atmosphere around the campfire. It doubles as a device holder that can grip your tablet or phone securely, allowing you to watch videos, play games, or chat with your friends. LIT is the perfect companion for your camping trips, as it offers convenience, functionality, and beauty in one device.

COUNTRY ROAD HOME - AROMA COLLECTION

An aromatherapy set that uses oils on a porous stone (concrete), that releases calming fragrances slowly over time. The grooves in the marble plate act as the fragrance holder and the removable centre adds an element of versatility. This allows for different layouts and allows the user to customise its appearance to harmonise with any space.

The top is interchangeable, and the second stone design (inspired by stone stacking) is held together magnetically, allowing the user to distribute the stones throughout the home or large room, enveloping your surroundings with a captivating aroma.

Guided by the principles of respect, reconciliation, and reciprocity we undertake to indigenising and decolonising design practice by dismantling colonial structures and challenging biases that have marginalised Indigenous voices and design.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
