I consider myself to be a designer who curates spaces that connect with the senses of the user. Combining function with beauty is a design philosophy that has stemmed from my time designing joinery, and only grew when working in the industry. My study journey has been a long one, totaling 7 years upon completion, and because of this it has also been full of exploration and experience. Observing how people interact with spaces and how a space can connect with the users has shaped me into a designer that places the user at the heart of my design processes. Alignment, as well as warm and organic materiality, evoke a calming connection between the user and interior, which is important to have within what can be a chaotic life.

Developing connections has been a common theme through out my previous work, and has become the focus of my Capstone project this semester. During the project, The Museum of the Handmade, I drew on the sites brick making history to form a connection between the building and its heritage.
