I’m Adrian Scaffidi, graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor of Design (Architecture) from Swinburne University after previously completing an Advanced Diploma of Building Design at RMIT University and pre-apprenticeship in Building and Construction. With a foundation in technical skills and hands on skills and a love for creative problem-solving, I’m excited to begin my career in architecture and gain valuable industry experience before returning to complete a master’s degree.

What I enjoy most about architecture is working closely with clients to find design solutions, whether on large-scale commercial projects or smaller residential designs. I’m passionate about creating solutions that meet, and ideally exceed, client expectations. I have efficient skills in Revit, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, and AutoCAD and I’m eager to expand on and learn new skills and/or programs

I’m confident in presenting and communicating ideas and thrive in team settings where collaboration is key to creating meaningful designs. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to make a positive impact and grow professionally in my role.

Studio 5 - Museum X

Hero shot of the proposed museum design incorporating a walkable green roof passing through the glasshouse garden museum with connecting bridges across the site. The walkable green roof also acts as part of the museum program with native flora also planted across the roof creating a harmonious blend between the roof gardens and existing natural fabric of Newport.

Studio 4 - Waterfront Intervention

This project was designed based of form finding machines created at the beginning of the semester. This design was created using the curvature created from the straight sections of a Hyperboloid shape.
A mixed-use hybrid building combining cafe, restaurant, rentable communal spaces and student accommodation along this waterfront site with overhanging forms harboring a connection with the waterfront.

Studio 4 - Waterfront Intervention

This design was extended beyond the original site conditions extending over the entire North Pier with outdoor seating and park spaces along bike paths. This design decision was made with the intention that future design projects such as the Melbourne Green Line can be constructed, and this design will be able to blend seamlessly with the current and future landscape.
