I am a 24 year old Product Design Engineering dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and design, with a strong commitment to the Right to Repair. I’m passionate about empowering consumers toward sustainability by creating products that are easy to diagnose, repair, and recycle, reducing waste in a consumer-driven world. Beyond my studies, I’m a professional triathlete, which has given me international experience and sharpened skills like resilience, self-motivation, time management, and problem-solving—qualities I bring into every project I undertake.

DOMTEC AIRCOLT

The DOMTEC Aircolt is a revolutionary redesign of the traditional leaf blower, reimagined to align with the emerging Right to Repair legislation. This project tackles the growing demand for sustainable, user-friendly products by transforming a popular consumer product, the Ryobi leaf blower, into a device that prioritizes repairability, upgradability, and recyclability. The Aircolt’s modular design allows homeowners to effortlessly disassemble and repair the product using everyday items like a butter knife, eliminating the need for specialized tools. The clear plastic casing enables easy identification of blockages in the turbine, while the removable bicycle grip ensures both comfort and easy replacement.

CAMP BULB

LILLY SIP

The Lilly Sip drinking bowl is designed for style-conscious, high-income pet owners aged 30-45 who prioritize their pets' well-being and appreciate premium products that complement modern home aesthetics. Lilly Sip minimizes water spillage by addressing the unique "acceleration-driven open pumping" method dogs use to drink. Inspired by sand ripples on Australian beaches, the bowl’s form is both functional and elegant, while the floating lily pad, inspired by Northern Australian lilies, encourages a gentler “licking” drinking method. Its textured surface channels water, promoting cleaner drinking and reducing mess around the bowl.

Guided by the principles of respect, reconciliation, and reciprocity we undertake to indigenising and decolonising design practice by dismantling colonial structures and challenging biases that have marginalised Indigenous voices and design.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
