UX Interaction Design

I am a UI/UX Designer based in Melbourne, driven by a passion for creation and a curiosity that fuels my designs. From an early age, I have been fascinated by the process of building and designing things, which naturally evolved into a career focused on crafting meaningful digital experiences.

My design philosophy centres on creative problem-solving. I enjoy delving deep into complex challenges, understanding their origins, and developing intuitive solutions. This approach has kept me committed to the dynamic field of UI/UX, where each project provides an opportunity to merge empathy with functionality. By analysing user needs and behaviours, I aim to create interfaces that are not only visually compelling but also seamless and efficient.

Beyond design, I channel my creative energy into hobbies that keep me constantly engaged in learning. Whether I’m building cars, experimenting with 3D printing, or restoring vintage technology, I am always expanding my skill set. These hands-on projects enrich my design work, offering fresh perspectives and enhancing my ability to adapt and innovate.

Ultimately, I am dedicated to continuous growth and to making a tangible impact through design—whether that’s in the digital space or through the objects I build and repair in my workshop.

Altor

The primary focus of our project is to design a companion application for Altor’s security device, that streamlines the user experience. Key objectives include creating a user-friendly mobile application that enables users to respond quickly to security incidents, and ensuring the app integrates seamlessly into users’ daily routines without hindering their work.

Killer Cuisine

This university project required the development of a geolocation-based narrative designed to promote user exploration and progression. I started by brainstorming themes and ultimately chose to develop a food-centred murder mystery story. With the narrative established, I then defined my target audience: young adults aged 18 to 30, who are most likely to dine out and seek new culinary experiences.

SocialCraft

SocialCraft was designed to be accessible with an easy-to-navigate user interface that encourages older adults to participate in social networking and digital sharing. The platform emphasizes user-centred design principles, addressing barriers such as complex navigation, small text, and unclear functionality that often discourage older users.

Acknowledgement of Country

The School of Design and Architecture respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners and knowledge-keepers of the lands, waters and sky that surround us, where we work, learn, create, communicate and make place. We are dedicated to the notion of design to make a better world and we acknowledge that making tools, shaping place, sharing stories, making meaning, wayfinding and collaborating have long been and continue to be both central and integral to First Peoples' cultures. We recognize that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ cultural contributions have continued relevance to design practice and commit to: reconciling ancestries of design and contemporary practice as well as pursuing culturally and professionally appropriate ways to engage with a diverse population of colleagues, industries and clients. In a time of treaty-making and voice we understand that there are overlaps between caring for Country and the sustainable production of goods, services, experiences, products and buildings.

Guided by the principles of respect, reconciliation, and reciprocity we undertake to indigenising and decolonising design practice by dismantling colonial structures and challenging biases that have marginalised Indigenous voices and design.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
