Hi, I’m PanPan—and no, I don’t have a brother named Peter! Originally from Thailand (hence the insanely long surname), I’ve been calling Melbourne home for the past few years. I’m about to finish my studies at Swinburne University of Technology, majoring in Design with a focus on UX Interaction Design and a minor in Digital Advertising. Throughout my studies, I have worked in the creative industry and have been exposed to a variety of areas, from user interface and experience design to brand identity, graphic design, illustration, and social media campaigns. I have even worked on a bit of SEO and web development, which I have enjoyed a lot. As a hungry young designer, I’m fuelled by curiosity, creativity, and, of course, food, and I’m always up for a chat about Melbourne’s best cheap eats and where to find the best matcha lattes.

GrocerGuide - A gamified grocery store hunting application

As part of a university project, I designed GrocerGuide, a gamified app that encourages users to visit 10 culturally diverse grocery stores around Melbourne. With over 200 nationalities, 260 languages, and 135 religious faiths represented, Melbourne’s rich diversity plays a big role in shaping its unique culinary scene. GrocerGuide includes interactive maps to guide users to these stores, recipe challenges, and AR technology that lets users collect virtual ingredients for points. Users can earn rewards and claim discounts at the stores, helping to bring more foot traffic to local businesses while encouraging Melburnians to explore the city’s diverse cuisines. The app’s user experience and interface was refined through comprehensive user research, including interviews, prototype testing, and continuous feedback.

Redesigning Music Victoria's Website

As part of my UX Capstone project, I participated in a 12-week team effort to address the question: “How might we enhance the user journey and overall site navigation to create a more user-friendly experience that effectively markets memberships, simplifies the signup process, and eases navigation of membership benefits?”

Through user interviews and testing, we aimed to optimise Music Victoria's website for the best user flow while ensuring it effectively showcases all membership resources.
