Miranda O'Neill

Hey! I’m Miranda, a designer with a love for creating work that’s thoughtful, vibrant, and a little unexpected. I celebrate curiosity, creativity, and the joy of visual storytelling, always aiming to design with purpose while keeping things approachable and full of character.

I enjoy experimenting with design elements, layout, and identity to find fresh ways to bring ideas to life. My work spans print, visual, and promotional design exploring how creativity can inform, inspire, and connect with people. Whether it’s shaping a brand identity, crafting a publication, or developing visual narratives, I aim to create designs that feel genuine, expressive, and engaging.

For me, inspiration often comes from everyday moments, textures, conversations, or colours that catch my eye and spark new ideas. I enjoy shaping these observations into designs that are playful and full of personality. Collaboration and experimentation inspire how I work, and I believe great design grows from sharing ideas, exploring creatively, and discovering meaning in the details.

Frankie Magazine: Sustainable Fashion Issue

This project involved designing a special issue for Frankie Magazine focused on sustainable fashion. The concept celebrates sustainability, upcycling, and creativity, while maintaining the magazine’s playful, fresh, and modern tone. The front cover was handmade from old denim pieces, stitched together with brightly coloured thread to add texture, depth, and visual interest. Buttons were carefully placed throughout, adding quirky, fun details that complement Frankie’s signature aesthetic, guide the viewer’s eye, and create space for the magazine’s typography.

Layered textures, vibrant colours, and handmade elements give the cover personality and energy, reflecting the magazine’s approachable and modern identity. The design communicates sustainable fashion in a way that feels engaging and inspiring, transforming everyday materials into expressive, tactile visuals. This project allowed me to explore hands-on experimentation, materiality, and visual storytelling, resulting in a cover that celebrates sustainability while capturing Frankie Magazine’s joyful, creative spirit.

Frankie Magazine: Digital Promotion

This digital promotion extends the Frankie Magazine: Sustainable Fashion Issue into an online experience that promotes and celebrates the edition in a fresh, engaging way. Designed as a web homepage, it captures Frankie’s signature warmth and creativity while showcasing the issue’s focus on sustainability and upcycling through a lively, contemporary layout.

The webpage brings the print issue to life digitally, featuring the magazine cover, a highlight spread, and curated imagery that reflect the magazine’s eclectic and expressive style. Clear structure and strong visual hierarchy guide users through the content, ensuring the design feels approachable and intuitive.

Consistent branding, typography, and imagery link the digital and print editions, creating a cohesive identity across platforms. Overall, the design translates Frankie’s charm into a modern digital context, inviting audiences to explore, connect, and engage with the issue online.
