Bailey Joy

Hi, I’m Bailey Joy — a Melbourne-based graphic designer with a love for creating work that feels thoughtful, tactile, and lasting. I’m currently completing a double degree in Design (Communication) and Business (Entrepreneurship).

My practice centres around branding and publication design, where I explore the balance between minimal luxury and nostalgic expression. I’ve always been drawn to the process of taking an idea and turning it into something real — from sketches and concepts to final printed outcomes. Seeing a design come to life in physical form is what inspires me most.

I’m guided by curiosity and subtle experimentation, often blending simplicity with small details that make a design feel human and intentional. My projects are driven by story and emotion, aiming to create visuals that connect on a personal level rather than just aesthetically.

Design, for me, is a space to explore ideas, challenge conventions, and make meaning through form and texture. Looking ahead, I hope to continue refining my craft and eventually launch my own clothing brand that reflects my values, creativity, and love for design.

HIGHCARD

A conceptual streetwear brand redefining modern streetwear through design, culture, and purpose. Each suit—Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds—supports a social cause. The identity blends minimal luxury with nostalgic design, unified through bold storytelling, packaging, and print touchpoints that merge visual refinement with a meaningful message.

Reality.EXE

An experimental publication exploring digital identity and perception in an age dominated by technology. Reality.EXE fuses distortion, and glitch aesthetics to question authenticity. The project reflects the conflict between virtual and physical existence through fragmented typography, layered compositions, and a haunting digital mood.

Dark Necessities

A travel-sized men’s cologne brand designed for the modern man. Dark Necessities balances luxury and restraint through monochromatic tones, sharp geometry, and minimal typography. The brand communicates confidence and sophistication, offering an empowering fragrance experience for men seeking design-led simplicity in their everyday rituals.

Fiat X Fresco

A collaborative packaging project celebrating Italian craftsmanship through curated gift hampers. Fresco × Fiat reimagines Fiat’s legacy with vintage-inspired structure and a contemporary palette. Each element evokes nostalgia and refinement, blending classic Italian luxury with modern form to express joy, celebration, and heritage.

The Masque of the Red Death

A modern reinterpretation of Edgar Allan Poe’s gothic tale of mortality and excess. The project translates the story’s eerie atmosphere into three touch points, using symbolic colour, texture, and form to mirror the tension between beauty, fear, and inevitable decay.
