Sarah Giust will soon hold a Bachelor of Design with a major in Communication Design and a minor in Advertising from Swinburne University in 2021. She started her tertiary journey with the completion of a Diploma of Design in 2018, which gave her advanced skills in the creative suites before progressing into the Bachelor degree. Sarah has proficient skills in using Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign and through her studies has developed a passion for publication design. She values the creative process from inception of a broad concept to delivering the finished product. Sarah is the type of designer that is passionate about ensuring that every stage of the process is delivered with precision.
Although, Sarah does not have any current professional experience in the design industry, she is ready to take the design world by storm using the skills she has developed during her time at Swinburne University. During Covid-19 Sarah designed family events – menus, themes, table designs and floral arrangements. From this she really started to hone her interest towards event design. This is certainly an area that Sarah wishes to pursue.
Design has been an influence in most of what Sarah has done outside of the University. She has held a position at Decjuba women’s wear store for the past five years where she has gained skills in visual merchandising and understanding customer needs. Sarah has always used cooking as a way of relaxing after a big day and has now got an Instagram food account where she uploads photos of how she presents professional looking dishes.
So for Sarah design is everywhere.
