Music-loving Tradie gone Designer. Before my Bachelor of Design, I completed my first bachelor’s degree in creative technologies (Audio Engineering). Throughout this degree, I learnt the importance of a space’s acoustic qualities, from the aural ambience of a large environment to the manipulation and treatment to an acoustically sound working environment or recording studio. During this degree, I worked as a Joiner, where I built high-end custom kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and furniture. The wealth of knowledge gained here provided me with an understanding of the construction industry and worksites, the importance of quality products and materials, and met with clients, Architects, other trades and product representatives to discuss the task at hand. The cherry on top is my Bachelor of Design – Interior Architecture, where I have learned to communicate my creative ideas. The past ten years have allowed me to lay a unique yet solid foundation to launch my career in the design industry. The opportunity to amalgamate and apply my experience towards becoming an asset to the Design industry is an exciting challenge, one I am greatly looking forward to.
