As a designer we think in a process of solving complex problems with creative solutions. Designing is not only a passion of mine but is something that I truly love to do. I always strive to create fresh and new ideas and continue to further expand my knowledge through endless hours of scrolling through design books, magazines and social media. Design and creativity continues to surrounds us wherever we go and as I continue to develop as a designer I see myself more and more everyday visualising design ideas for the future.
My time at Swinburne University - The Bachelor of Design (Interior Architecture), has provided me with an extensive amount of knowledge and skills in project development, hand drawing, documenting on architectural programs such as Revit and Rhino, the history of designers and architecture, detailed construction, model making and 3D rendering. Through my studies I have found a passion of creating interiors that play a large role in human happiness, well-being and productivity and crafting an environment that reflects who the client is, what they do and of course environments that invite people in - innovation and practicality. I look forward in continuing developing these skills in future employment.
“An essential aspect of creativity is not being afraid to fail”.
This quote resonates with me as it illustrates that being afraid to fail is only going to stop you from making the leap towards making great designs.
I know myself as a designer I always strive for the best and perfection, however, I have learnt throughout my studies that perfection is not always key in creating the best designs and solutions. Creativity and uncertainty are like bread and butter. You never know what will work and what won’t work. Rather than letting our fears stop us, we need to make ourselves free from those burdens.
