This is Lucas Stewart, also known as Lucasstew. Following his passion for design in year 10 of high school, he completed work experience in a branding agency – Trout Creative Thinking, which lead to an internship prior to studying at Swinburne. Lucas has been working as an editor at a photography studio – Verve Portraits, during his time at university.

Lucas developed a passion for branding and identity, and appreciation for photo media through his work. His experiences and ambitions allow him to work across mediums, providing a flexible and tailored experience for clients.

Lucas is inspired by day-to-day subjects, from drag queens to the empty emotions of lockdown. The topics of gender, sexuality and racism speak volumes to Lucas as a queer person of colour, design has been the most efficient way to convey his messages.

'Design Thinking' was a concept known to Lucas from a young age through overhearing his dad’s work jargon. The concept stuck and led him down a pathway of design. In his down-time, he likes to play video games, though every now and then you’ll still see him doodling on his iPad.
