Hey! My name is Tyneesa Grant, I am very passionate about Brand Design, Print & Publication Design and Packaging Design.

I will be graduating with a Bachelor in Commuication Design at Swinburne University of Technology, majoring in both Communication Design and Branded Environments.

Throughout this undergraduate design course, I have learnt to take on all criticism as it may improve my work significantly and help me grow as a person; I work well individually and with my peers to get the best outcome on assignments. Although it hasn’t been the easiest 3 years of my life, it has certainly been an amazing experience and I can’t wait for what the future holds!

I have been taught several areas of design while attending university such as Packaging Design, Brand Design, UX, Print & Publication Design, Interior Architecture, Exhibition Deisgn and Digital Design, just to name a few.

Outside of Design, I enjoy reading, art, cooking, photography, video games and cuddling with my cat.

My goal after University is to get as much experience within the industry in various design fields as I aspire to someday run my own design studio as a freelance designer and solely focus on Brand Design, Print & Publication Design, Illustrations and Packaging Design!

Toasty Beans Cat Cafe - Branding

'Toasty Beans Cat Cafe' was my 'Communication Design Capstone Project' (2023) which was a conceptual re-branding opportunity for the existing cat cafe within Melbourne, 'Cashmere Cat Cafe'. This project consisted of a new cafe interior floor plan, digital and print assets with production specifications and a brand strategy/style guide for the branding.

The Winter Night Market - Multi-Media

'The Winter Night Market' was for the unit 'Typography for Print and Interactive Publication' (2022) which consisted of us choosing a festival to design print and digital assets such as advertisements, merchandise, publication and interactive website. I chose to expand on the existing festival in Melbourne's Queen Vic Market during the winter season; using the Market's elegant appearance and heritage to inspire my designs.

Perfectly Imperfect - Brand Strategy/Campaign

'Perfectly Imperfect' was for the unit 'Communication Design Strategy' (2022) which was a body positivity campaign targeted towards 16-28-year-olds and was sponsored by the Butterfly Foundation to better represent and support body positivity in a gender-neutral approach, using print and digital assets and child-like drawn characters as mascots to carry the campaign.

Greener Thumbs - Packaging Design

'Greener Thumbs' was for the unit 'Design for Production' (2023) which consisted of us branding a pre-created package template with a concept of what could be inside the box, I chose to package a D.I.Y Herb Kit and use an illustrative style to communicate the aesthetic and brand.

Energise Australia - Branding

'Energise Australia' was for the unit 'Brand and Identity Design (2022) which consisted of us choosing an existing company to re-brand; I chose to re-brand an Energy company within Melbourne, 'Momentum Energy'. Using their values and sense of community, I revamped the brand to better represent them as a friendly and clean energy company.
