1Q84 by Haruki Murakami is a dystopian science fiction novel in which reality has fragmented or splintered, it is a mystery, a love story and a reflection on history and memories. Flowers and butterflies are recurring motifs which were used to create butterfly wing flowers. Don’t let appearances fool you. There’s always only one reality.

Shikisai

Shikisai means to hue, tint or colour. Adding to the meal and the balance of colours prescribed in Kaiseki. Mixing traditional and contemporary scenes the design follows a Japanese aesthetic of modernism, removing design unrelated to function and highlighting quality of craft.
