Hi, I’m Jared. I’m an aspiring graphic designer who has interests in packaging, branding, and publication design.

During my time at swinburne I was honoured to have won the opportunity to work alongside the Mackillop Family Services through designing a sucsessful design campaign for their global Care-Day initiative titled 'Break the Stigma’.

Currently my education comprises of a Bachelor of Design majoring in communication design, an Advanced diploma in Graphic Design as well as a Diploma of Graphic Design from Swinburne University of Technology.

Moving forward in my design career I would love to work alongside both smaller and larger businesses to help them achieve a professional look and feel while reaching their internal goals.

GRWN - Gardening Made Simple

GRWN is an Australian company dedicated to promoting the ability to grow produce and plants within your own home.

This project aimed to help avoid inflated prices in the fruit and vegetable supply chain and avoid food insecurity and food wastage. the secondary objective for GRWN was to bring a new brand and accompanying products to the home gardening market while standing out against competitors such as Mr Fothergills and The Good Plant Co.

With the values of practicality, growth, inclusivity and sustainability. The design of the packages hones in on the idea of being environmentally friendly by printing on exposed recycled stock and only using opaque white. The design itself shows insight into the plants that are in seed form inside the box and shows the different textures they hold as well.

Pitch Music & Arts

Pitch Music & Arts Festival is a 4-day music event infused with a camping experience held at the serene foothills of the Grampian Plains in Victoria. The festival features and promotes great quality house and techno music from both local pioneers to popular international DJ Artists.

The design direction for all collateral was curated around the echoing sounds emerging from all 4 unique stages throughout the festival grounds.

The festival information guide is designed to help those who are attending the festival who won’t have phone reception due to the event’s location. To have all the important information such as the map, rules and what is happening throughout each day in a hard copy is essential to navigating the grounds and getting the best experience possible. It was also essential that the Pitch Music & Arts Festival didn’t just have the solo touchpoint of a publication but was also accessible both digitally through a website and in poster form to grasp the target audience’s attention.

EOFA Sustainable Packaging

The Ethical Organic Farmers Alliance is a community of farmers that specialises in ethical and organic farming to produce food that protects the environment and public health by excluding all artificial ingredients.

The EOFA required 3 packages to be created to enable them to supply supermarkets and local health food stores with their products. The final design gives insight into the organisation's views and objectives by including a natural design look through the use of hand-drawn continuous line art which represents the roots or origin of the products.

Mackillop Family Services - International Care Day

In 2022, I was honoured to work alongside the not-for-profit organisation The Mackillop Family Services to deliver and design a campaign for International Care Day titled ‘Break the Stigma’.

International Care Day is the world’s biggest celebration of children who grow up in foster or residential care. Each year the purpose is to take a moment to reflect on your understanding of children in care and celebrate the outcomes they achieve, despite a challenging start to their lives.

Through all the touchpoints a strong presence of unity and consistency was achieved by using 2 overlapping circles which represent Venn diagrams. The meaning behind the Venn diagrams is to visually represent the two separate parties involved in the foster care process and how they would combine, connect, and create similarities when they intersect.

Ville De Paris

Ville de Paris otherwise known as The City of Paris is a French renowned travel destination that brings in over 30 million tourists a year. The design originated from the withstanding steel beams and unique structures underneath the Eiffel Tower situated in central Paris. Using the arcs that support the tower to aid in the making of the logo added hidden meaning to the look and feel of the logo design. I resorted to the blue colour used in the flag of France to add special significance and keep a consistency of what already exists within the city.
