Communication Design

Hi, my name is Domenico Roso, or Dom for short. I am 22 years old and was born and raised in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and finishing my schooling career at Swinburne University. I am a newgrad graphic designer with a passion for branding & identity, as well as other forms of communication. I have studied the past four years completing a double Bachelors degree in Design (majoring in communication design) & Media and Communciations (majoring in social media), allowing me to learn a diverse range of skills in both design, and the world of social media. Outside of the design space, my general hobbies include a mix of sport and videogames, and I would love the chance of incorporating those hobbies into my career.

Enza's

Enza's is a panini bar opening up in the Melbourne CBD in early 2025. The restaurant sells authentic tasting recipes, inspired by the cooking of their Nonna during their childhood.

The Myth of Janus

Janus was a Roman God in charge of beginnings and endings, past and future, backward and forwards. He represented the threshold between moving forward. During war times, a gate built in Janus' name would be open, and would not close until peace was achieved. The Malthouse Theater are presenting the life of Janus as a modern adaptation play.

A-Indie Event Booklet

A-Indie is an indie game festival that will be hosted at the Convention Center in Melbourne. A-Indie is a chance for indie game developers to network and show off their video game projects. On the day, event booklets are handed out containing information about popular games in each genre, showcasing some exceptional work by these developers.

As students of SoDA you will be given opportunities to both engage with and educate yourself in Indigenous creative practices and cultural protocols through a lens of inclusivity, diversity, respect, mutual understanding, inter-cultural dialogue in all aspects of design practice. Indigenous people have been telling stories, making tools, and connecting to Country through visual media, placemaking and place marking for more than 60,000 years and these practices are part of an ongoing, evolving and live tradition.
