Branded Environments

Branded Environments is the practice of three-dimensional branding. The course is a unique offering at Swinburne, intersecting the areas of graphic, spatial and experience design. Students gain skills and knowledge across these areas to enable them to translate brands into engaging and memorable environments. Addressing issues of sustainability and reducing emissions; creating positive social impact; as well as conceiving new ideas for environments in light of physical distancing and infection control measures have been central themes.

Studying Branded Environments has prepared me to embrace, adapt and evolve design strategies constantly. Understanding how users interact within a space and then challenging this to create memorable brand experiences has encouraged innovative thinking, necessary within the design industry.

We respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, who are the Traditional Owners of the land on which Swinburne’s Australian campuses are located in Melbourne’s east and outer-east, and pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.

We are honoured to recognise our connection to Wurundjeri Country, history, culture and spirituality through these locations, and strive to ensure that we operate in a manner that respects and honours the Elders and Ancestors of these lands.

We also acknowledge and respect the Traditional Owners of lands across Australia, their Elders, Ancestors, cultures and heritage.
